Founded in 1978, Adopt-A-Pet provides relief to the plight of homeless pets, reduces over population, and offers an alternative to euthanasia.
Donors should know: We operate strictly through donations and receive no government or county funding. Nearly 2/3 of our budget goes for veterinary care. The rest is used for operational and building expenses. We accept both monetary and in-kind donations. Since 2003, Adopt A Pet found loving homes for over 2000 cats and dogs and funded veterinary care for sick animals.
Mission Statement: Adopt-A-Pet is a non-profit corporation whose mission is to assist the community by providing a means to place unwanted pets in good family environments and to make the public aware of such animal issues as care, welfare, and the hazards of over population. We enjoy presenting to area schools, kids and senior groups on proper animal care and the importance of spaying/neutering pets. We do not euthanize our animals. We believe animals have a right to live! We believe spaying/neutering will stop over population and prevent unwanted puppies and kittens.
