OK, the show’s over and I survived again (barely, ha ha). What a beautiful day! After all bills have been paid, we were able to donate $1775 to Adopt A Pet. Thank you so much. There were so many things I wanted to do at the show and did not get the chance. So, I will do it now.
The show brochure included just about every donator with their website and e-mail address. Please use this as a reference when you are considering purchasing any model horse items. There is just about everything you could ever want within those names. It would be great to support those artists as they supported Plastic Ponies and many other model shows.
A Spectacular Thank You to:
- Kevin Hogle, my very organized husband, for putting up with my hobby
- Debbie Delap, my dearest friend since we were 10 years old, for being the show holder and judged the Companion Animals, Fantasy, medallions and palominos). I forgot to introduce her.
- Donna Douglas, my sister, for assisting with the Companion Animal judging and buckskin color classes.
- Carol Rue, also palomino, buckskin, and Companion Animal judge
- Karen Zorn, Tracy Plecha, and Cherry Duve for coming the night before to help set up.
- Denise Olejniczak for taking on the very difficult job of announcing. Also, for selling raffle tickets and generally handling miscellaneous questions.
- All my judges: Joyce Savage, Suzanne Feld, Sue and Greg Glandon, Maureen Reynolds, Jennifer Read, Rene Hoppe, Anne Olejniczak, Jennifer Kroll, Kirsty Bullis, Teri Steel, Silke Brockmoeller, and Gretchen O’Neail (who stepped in the day of the show to assist) – you guys are tops and give up a big portion of your day to judge – THANK YOU
- Thanks to everyone who filled out the survey with suggestions for future shows. I will certainly take them all into consideration. I already have some ideas of how to make it flow better next year. Possibly add a few classes and smooth it out.
One question for you: Is it worth holding all the extra classes? Such as, Companion Animals, Fantasy, Medallions, Buckskin/Palomino color classes? Is this something that you want again?
I’m sure I’ve missed someone. Everyone was so kind. Although I again thought I will NEVER do this again, I’m already thinking of ways to make the next one better.
Hope you can attend next year.
