Welcome to the "Plastic Ponies On Parade". This is the 3rd annual, Plastic Ponies On Parade. I've only been in the hobby for 6 years, but it's great fun. If you have any questions or suggestions, please e-mail me at khogle2@yahoo.com and I will do my best to find an answer.
As I did in 2009, I will donate any profits to the local Fenton animal shelter (Adopt-A-Pet). I'm hoping to be able to present them with $800. That's my goal. If you would like to contact Adopt-A-Pet yourself and make a donation directly to them, that would be great too (810-629-0723 ask for Jody Maddock). Fenton Adopt-A-Pet will be bringing a couple sweet little dogs for you to meet (during our lunch break). Of course, I must pay all the bills first. Placings for 1-8. There will be regular ribbon flats for 1st through 3rd, 4th through 8th will be paper (hand made by me). Some of the ribbons will be hand made neck ribbons to try and cut down on those costs. The more money saved on show frills, the more available to donate to the little animals of Adopt A Pet. Plastic Ponies On Parade 2009 was very proud to donate $1775 to Adopt A Pet. NAMHSA approval is pending at this time.
Fenton is a really nice town, although growing very fast. There are alot of local fast food and other restaurants in the area along with Tractor Supply, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, and Target within about 1/2 mile. Everything right off Highway 23 at the Owen Road exit # 78. The Fenton High School is easy to find and the cafeteria provides a very roomy and well lit show hall.
There is a Holiday Inn Express within 1/2 mile of the Fenton High School. Address: 17800 Silver Parkway, Fenton, MI 48430, 810-714-7171. See the section on maps/directions. There is a Best Western at exit 67 (M59), about 9 miles south of the Owen Road exit. And, a Knights Inn about 10 miles North at exit 88.
